Everyone needs that overdrive pedal that helps their guitar really cut through the mix, one that adds a little bit of grit and character to their tone. Like the many heralded overdrives of the past present, the Neutron Drive uses a dual op amp and diode clipping to create gain and gentle distortion and a fair amount of boost to your signal.

One of the greatest features of the Neutron drive is the various diode arrangements available for your pedal. If you want the stock unit, we use Germanium diodes in the feedback loop of the first gain stage, but send us an email if you want a different arrangement to learn about our various diode choices and arrangements.

The Neutron Drive’s controls are fairly simple.

1. 1.The Drive knob affects the amount of distortion applied to your signal, from clean to medium distortion.
   

2. 2.The Tone knob affects the signal’s tonal character, from dark to bright.
   

3. 3.The Level knob affects the post distortion output level.
   

While you can use this pedal as a simple clean boost, bringing up the drive a small amount will allow you to retain a lot of your original sound with a little bit of something extra, like your amp being pushed a little bit harder than you can at the volume you can actually stand. Bring the gain up and you’ll get a lot more harmonic content.
